Migration to Australia has become increasingly difficult and complex over the last 10 years. Business visa opportunities underwent major changes in 2005 moving the availability of Permanent Residency for business people who want to establish or manage a new or existing business or invest in Australia to Temporary Residency visas to ensure the integrity of the Business Visa program.
There are a variety of Temporary Business visas available to those business people, Senior Executive or Investors who are interested in Investing in Australia. These range from a program of State/Territory Sponsored visas.
At minimum the following is currently required:
A successful business career
Personal net assets value of at least AUD$250,000
For Business Owners, a turnover of at least AUD$300,000 in at least two of the four fiscal years immediately before an application is made
For Senior Executives (that is your position is in the top three tiers of a company (other than a government sector) with an annual turnover of at least A$50M in at least 2 of the 4 fiscal before an application is made
Business Owners with a highly successful business can obtain initially Permanent Residency provided:
Under the age of 55 (some exceptions can apply)
Business net assets of AUD$400,000 for at least two of the four fiscal years immediately before an application is made
Business annual turnover (or two main businesses combined) of at least AUD $3M in at least two of the four fiscal years immediately before an application is made
Personal net value of at least AUD$1.5M.
